Professor Juan-Carlos Kaski DSc, MD, DM (Hons), FRCP, FESC, FHFA, FRSM, FACC, FAHA, is Professor of Cardiovascular Science (Emeritus), St George’s, University of London, UK, and Past-Director of the Cardiovascular and Cell Sciences Research Institute at St George’s, University of London, United Kingdom. He is also Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at St George’s University Teaching Hospitals, NHS Trust, and the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, UK.
Prof Kaski is Chairman of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy, Deputy Editor of the European Heart Journal, Editor-in-Chief of European Cardiology Review Journal and Editor of the European Society of Cardiology Handbook on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy.
JC Kaski is Fellow of over 30 scientific societies worldwide, Doctor Honoris Causa of several universities, a recipient of the Gold Medal of the Spanish Society of Cardiology, and a past-President of the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP)
Research Interests
Prof Kaski’s research areas include microvascular and vasospastic angina, pathogenesis of angina, inflammatory and immunological mechanisms of atherosclerosis, and biomarkers of cardiovascular risk.
Publications
He has authored over 600 scientific papers on these topics in peer-review journals and 13 books on cardiovascular topics.
