Managing Iron Deficiency in Heart Failure: Practical Considerations

This webinar was held live on Wednesday 19th March 2025 at 12:00 pm GMT.

Organised by the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP), this free, 1-hour session provided healthcare professionals with practical guidance and clinical insights into managing iron deficiency in patients with heart failure.

Iron deficiency is a common and impactful comorbidity in heart failure. Addressing it can lead to significant improvements in patient outcomes. This session focused on identifying at-risk individuals, understanding the latest evidence supporting intravenous iron therapy, and integrating best practices into routine care to optimize treatment and minimize risks.

Led by an expert panel, the webinar explored key considerations in screening, diagnosis, and administration of iron supplementation. Participants gained valuable perspectives on clinical efficacy, safety profiles, and implementation strategies tailored to everyday practice.

Equipping attendees with actionable knowledge, the session empowered clinicians to enhance heart failure management by effectively addressing iron deficiency in their patient populations.

This programme was supported by an unrestricted educational grant by PHARMACOSMOS.
