CARE-AF/VTE International Programme

Clinical Application of Real-World Evidence for Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation and the Treatment of Venous Thromboembolism (CARE-AF/VTE Programme)

Hosted by ACForum & Endorsed by ISCP

We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the ISCP-endorsed CARE-AF/VTE programme, organised and hosted by our partners at Anticoagulation Forum (ACForum). This comprehensive programme addresses critical gaps in clinician knowledge regarding the use of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) for atrial fibrillation (AF) and venous thromboembolism (VTE). Despite the proven effectiveness of DOACs in preventing stroke and treating VTE, real-world data reveals that many patients eligible for this therapy either miss out on recommended treatment or receive incorrect dosages, often due to limitations in clinician knowledge.

This structured, 8-week programme, split into 4-week modules for AF and VTE, offers concise, 30-minute weekly lessons to support effective learning for busy practitioners. Registration is open until January 3, 2025—secure your spot today for one or both pathways to improve patient outcomes in high-risk populations across Europe!

Target Audience:

The CARE-AF/VTE Programme is designed to meet the educational needs of practicing clinicians in European countries who are most likely to encounter and manage patients with AF and VTE, including general medicine, cardiology, hematology, emergency medicine, vascular medicine, and others.

Accreditation / Continuing Education

The individual AF and VTE units are accredited for up to 2.5 hours of continuing education credits for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists. The full 8-week program is eligible for up to 5.0 hours.
