Associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University

Dr.Subongkot is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. His responsibilities include didactic teaching in advanced pharmacotherapy courses for undergraduates, master and doctorate of clinical pharmacy and also provide oncology clinical pharmacy and clinical pharmacology service in Srinagarind Medical Center (SMC). He is also hosting a board certification in pharmacotherapy training program as he serves as an oncology pharmacy residency/fellowship director under the college of pharmacotherapy (Thailand). In 2006, Dr. Subongkot founded the first Asia Pacific Oncology Pharmacy Congress (APOPC) which is one of the premier events held biannually to support oncology pharmacy education among Asia Pacific regions. He is currently a board member of Asia Pacific Oncology Pharmacy Community, a member of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
 
His main interest is targeted therapy for cancer treatment, especially the role of Cyclo-oxygenase II in the treatment and prevention, Pharmacogenomics, and Cancer Drug Development. He is also interested in many palliative care issues including Cachexia, Infection, Pain Management, Tumor cytokines, Herbal Drug Development and Outcome Research. His ongoing research involves Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index and Survival in Cancer Patients Receiving Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors, Anticoagulant Utilization for Cancer-Associated Thrombosis, and Network meta-analysis of Pharmacologic intervention for Hand and Foot Syndrome.
