Dr. Koshman is an Associate Professor of Medicine with the Division of Cardiology at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton. She practices in the Cardio-Oncology Clinic and Heart Function Clinic at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. She is a member of the International Cardio-oncology (ICOS) Society’s Pharmacy Working Group. She is the co-lead of the first Advanced Pharmacy Residency Cardiology program in Canada.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Koshman is a Clinical Pharmacist who practices in the Heart Function Clinic and Cardio-Oncology Clinic at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. She is one of the first 15 pharmacists in Canada to be granted independent prescribing and practices to full scope, including performing physical examination.
In addition to her clinical practice in HF, Dr. Koshman is also a leader in this field in Canada. She is a past primary panel member of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Heart Failure Guideline Committee and is a member of the Alberta Health Services Strategic Clinical Network Heart Failure Working Group. She developed the first mobile app for clinicians, Med-HF App, that helps front line practitioners better manage heart failure medications.
Research
Dr. Koshman’s clinical research focuses on the use of pharmacotherapy in cardiovascular disease, including secondary prevention, atrial fibrillation and heart failure. She also has an interest in the professional practice of pharmacists. She has published numerous articles as an author and co-author in such peer-reviewed scientific journals as JAMA Internal Medicine, Archives of Internal Medicine, the Canadian Journal of Cardiology, and the American Journal of Cardiology.
