A joint ISCP – French Society of Cardiology symposium took place during the 28th European Days of the French Society of Cardiology. The Congress was held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris on the 17th-20th January 2018.
Thursday 18th of January included a Joint session titled The Yin and Yang of Molecular Cardiac Mechanisms. The Chairpersons were Theodora Bejan-Angoulvant and Jean-Sébastien Hulot. The session included the following presentations:
- Dennis Cokkinos speaking on “Preconditioning: Protecting with Ischemia”
- Michel Ovize speaking on “The Reperfusion Injury: Is it Treatable?”
- Geneviève Derumeaux speaking on “Myocardial Hypertrophy: When is it Good and When is it Bad?”
- Gheorghe-Andrei Dan speaking on “Drug Treatment of Arrhythmias”
The Congress had a high attendance rate and the symposium had a high scientific level. Each lecture was followed by numerous discussions.
