Surakit Nathisuwan, PharmD, BCPS

Surakit Nathisuwan is ISCP Governor for Thailand. ISCP Governors act as representatives for different countries worldwide to encourage local participation and contribute to the ISCP’s educational programmes.

Surakit Nathisuwan received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, pharmacotherapy residency training from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a board certification in pharmacotherapy from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

He is currently working at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand.

He is also the Chairman of the Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Committee of the College of Pharmacotherapy of Thailand, under the Pharmacy Council of Thailand and an honorary member of the Heart Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage.

Surakit Nathisuwan has been playing an important role in providing education and training in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy for health care personnel in Thailand and the Southeast Asian countries. He also actively advocates the implementation of multidisciplinary cardiac team to enhance the quality of care. His research works address relevant issues aiming to promote optimal use of pharmacotherapy in cardiac patients and related health policies, particularly in the developing countries.
