SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES
Published more than 150 scientific papers and chapters in national and international textbooks, mainly on assessment of reperfusion therapies in patients with ST segment elevation myocardial infarction including non-invasive methods to estimate the effects of thrombolytic therapy, primary and rescue PCI on infarct size. Other major research area includes risk stratification in patients with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndromes, including cardiac markers and electrocardiology. The research has resulted in an equal number of abstracts and lectures at scientific meetings. Planner and educator on several international symposia, both domestic and abroad. Head of the scientific committee, and host of the Acute Cardiac Care Conference, Copenhagen 2010 (1300 participants).
Mentor on 10 completed and ongoing dissertations in Cardiology.
Steering end-points committees and working groups. Served on several national and international steering commitees in clinical trials and the Joint ESC/ACC Committee for redefinition of myocardial infarction (2000), and the joint AHA/ESC/ACC/WHO Global definition of AMI (2007-present).
