Dr Xavier Escudero

Dr Xavier Escudero studied medicine in Mexico City and cardiovascular research at the Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, CA with Prof. Elliot Corday.

He made his fellowship in internal medicine and then cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiology, in Mexico City. He was fellow in Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Cardiology at the Ramon-y-Cajal Hospital in Madrid, Spain, and in Advanced Intervention at the University Heart Institute in Lille, France with Prof. Michel Bertrand.

 

He was President of the Mexican Society of Interventional Cardiology (SOCIME) where he now serves as member of the board and State Delegat for Morelos. He was governor for México to the Society of Cardiac angiography and Intervention (SCAI), member of the International Scientific Committee for the Latin American Society of Interventional Cardiology (SOLACI) and now is member of the Scientific Committee for the Mexican Society of Cardiology. He is the International Delegate for the Mexican Association for the Prevention of Atherosclerosis and it’s Complications (AMPAC) and Treasurer-Elect for the National Association of Mexican Cardiologists (ANCAM). He is member of the American Heart Association, and the Spanish and European Societies of Cardiology.

 

Dr. Escudero worked as an Associate Professor in Cardiology at the Cardiology Hospital, in the National Medical Center in Mexico City for 15 years. He now is the Director of Interventional Cardiology at CARDICA for the Cuernavaca Cardiovascular Institute in Morelos and interventional cardiologist at Medica Sur Hospital in Mexico City. He is a certified clinical and Interventional cardiologist and Fellow for the American College of Cardiology since 1999.
