Professor A.Tenenbaum is Director of Research, Cardiac Rehabilitation Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer and Professor of Cardiology at Tel-Aviv University, Israel. His research interests and areas of expertise include clinical cardiology, echocardiography, hypertension, heart failure, cardiovascular drug therapy and computed tomography. During recent years he has become especially involved in the research of various aspects of the dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, obesity and the diabetes/cardiovascular interrelationship. Prof. Tenenbaum is the author of hundreds scientific publications including recent monograph “Cardiovascular Diabetology: Clinical, Metabolic and Inflammatory Facets” (Basel, Karger 2008). Since 2002, he has served as an Editor-in-Chief of Cardiovascular Diabetology (BioMed Central, London). Prof. Tenenbaum is the Founder and Director of the “Cardioline” Heart Institute, Co-Founder and Chairmen of The Israeli Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Drug Therapy (IHS) and Governor of the International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (ISCP).
