Dr. Satyavan Sharma, M.D. (Medicine), D.M.(Cardiology), M.N.A.M.S. (Cardiology) and recipient of several international and national fellowships including Fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS), Fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Fellow of Indian Society of Electrocardiology (FISE). He is currently an Honorary Professor and Head of Cardiology with Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai, and Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, India. The previous attachment and positions included Professor and Head of Cardiology, BYL Nair Hospital and TN Medical College, Mumbai, India, President Cardiological Society of India (CSI) and President of SAARC Cardiac Society, Convenor PTCA Registry of India Teaching and academic assignment include examinership for superspeciality degree, D.M. (Cardiology) in various Universities and is on selection panels of several universities and teaching institutions.
Dr Sharma’s expertise is in interventional cardiology and he has vast experience in coronary, valvular and congenital interventions with over nearly 80 international publications, 100 in national journals and 200 abstracts. Has delivered many orations and guest lectures at prestigious meetings all over the world including : World Congress of Cardiology, Asian Pacific Society Meetings, Mount Sinai Hospital New York Symposium, American Society of Hypertension, Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, SAARC Cardiac Society etc.
