Hu Dayi, MD, FACC, FESC, chief of the Heart Center at Peking University’s People’s Hospital; dean of the Clinical Research Institute, School of Public Health, Shanghai Fudan University; President of the Chinese Society of Cardiology (CSC); President of the Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians (CCCP).
Professor Hu is a pioneer of radio-frequency ablation technology and evidence-based medicine in China. He has specialised in preventive cardiology, electrophysiology, pacemaker implantation and interventional therapy of coronary artery disease. He is also engaged in the treatment and prevention of hypertension, coronary heart disease, heart failure and ionic channel disease. He has been committed to introducing new technologies and treatments in cardiology to China, and has also provided training workshops in India and Vietnam. He is currently focusing on cardiovascular disease management and prevention, and is the principal investigator (PI) of the China Heart Survey, and the Steer Committee member and PI of international clinical trials like ROCKET, BEAUTIFUL, SHIFIT, ACE, MAGELLaN, and others.
Professor Hu is the editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Cardiology, and an international board member of Journal of Clinical Cardiology, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Nature Cardiovascular Medicine, and also many national and international medical journals.
