Director, Rasmussen Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, University of Minnesota

I welcome you to the 15th Congress of the International Society for Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy.  I hope you share in our mission to expand the appropriate utilization of cardiovascular drugs to prevent and treat all cardiovascular diseases to reduce the devastating cost of their morbidity and health care expenditures worldwide.

We have planned a scientific program of exciting talks by international experts that will enlighten you about the newest aspects of pharmacotherapy.

If you agree with our educational mission I hope you might join us in working with our international group of officers and members to participate in the development of new educational activities and interactive efforts with industry, academia and non-profit organizations.

The flood of new drugs, new clinical research and expanded indications for drug therapy has intensified the need for education so that these powerful tools can be used most
effectively.

I hope you will find your time in Beijing both educational and pleasurable.

President
